Hearts of South Africa or Hart die Suid Afrika, in Afrikaans, is a project I began in 2005. Its goal was to express in prose, the cultural, geographical, and spiritual points of identity or 'hearts' of the Southern African region and the country of South Africa in particular. Each piece was inspired by the primary image accompanying the piece. One day soon I hope to visit.
