Taughannock Park #3 Copyright 2004, Carl Schofield Faces take on an ethereal porcelain doll-like quality. Skin becomes alabaster, and hair like strands of flax. I intend to use IR to augment my poetry or to in some cases I hope, mesh the image and the words into one entity. Here is my first shot taken with a Nikon Coolpix 950. Pond on cloudy day |

There are many great sites on IR filters, their effects, where to obtain them, how-to pages, and of galleries of photography available for perusal and/or purchase. Three great sites are technical and resource information are Infrared Resources (also good info on filters and where to get them, DP-FWIW
)
Excellent galleries are Carl Schofield's |
